Basic Info On Energy Healing

By Elaine Guthrie

Modern Western medicine has long been the scientific leader around the world for innovations and evidence. There are however other means of dealing with illness, injury and disease if you look to holistic medicine. Energy healing has long been used in Eastern alternative medicine, where it is shown to affect the person positively.

The idea behind this kind of medicine is that it works with the body's aura and chakras, which are considered the points in they body that hold energies. These are thought to be channels that are all connected, where your spiritual energies run through to keep the body in balance. When the body has an illness, there is a chakra that is responsible for helping it to heal.

These chakras go down the center of your body much like your spinal cord does. They consist of the heart, throat, root, sacral, solar plexus, third eye and crown. Each one works specifically with an area of the body to keep it healthy and in line.

Your third eye deals with glands and hormones while your crown works on the nervous system of the body. The throat chakra keeps the thyroid and communication center working, and the heart deals with immune system issues, blood and your chest. Your solar plexus is over the pancreas and all digestion issues, while the reproductive system is ruled by the sacral. The last one being the root, deals with the lower extremities and spine.

Stones are commonly instituted in this medicinal practice, where one is put on top of a chakra to get it to realign with the others. When the spiritual body is believed to be in line, the physical is thought to follow using these methods. A heated stone is thought to pull in positive vibrations and energies, and when put onto a chakra is thought to channel that to the correct area to get a healthy outcome.

There isn't proof scientifically that these outcomes are due to this medicinal practice, but practitioners across the world have found it useful for many hundreds of years. To deal with things like urinary tract infections or heart palpitations, patients have long sought this type of therapy out. Most people still visit hospitals and doctors of traditional means to deal with a surgery and other invasive help, since this is only used for noninvasive issues.

Another type of alternative medicine that incorporates the same principles is with a certain type of practitioner. These practitioners use only their hands as a means to heal patients of ailments. They believe that pulling bad energies from their patients and transferring them to themselves will cause the flow through the body to be uninterrupted again and promote good health.

Regardless of the type of alternative medicine options that are chosen, there are millions of people across the world that subscribe to the powers of their outcomes. If pain and illness are issues that Western medicine have not been able to deal with, this type of recovery process may be just what is needed.
