Making A Difference, In ALS, With Stuart Millheiser

By Jason McDonald

To say that ALS has an impact would be an understatement. Virtually anyone can become a victim of it, and the fact that it can have both a physical and emotional toll alike cannot be overlooked. With that said, there are ways in which you can make a difference. What do these methods entail, you may wonder? Along with the assistance given by Stuart Millheiser, here is what you should know about offering your help to this cause.

One of the more direct ways to help those with ALS, according to the likes of Stuart Millheiser is by donating money to the cause. For those who do not know, ALS requires a tremendous degree of research, which is not exactly inexpensive. Even if you are only able to donate a few dollars to a worthwhile company, the fact that you were able to do so can make a difference. Of course, this is just one several advocacy efforts to take notice of.

There's also the matter of going to support groups, which are designed to help anyone with ALS cope with their issues. For example, those who have just been diagnosed with the condition in question will be able to learn about the trials along the way, in addition to precautionary measures they can take. This sense of camaraderie is helpful, to say the least, as it allows all parties involved to benefit from greater positivity. Suffice it to say, there is strength in numbers.

Finally, you should take part in events designed to help raise awareness for ALS. One of the best examples that I can name is known as Walk to Defeat ALS, which was created by the ALS Association. Not only has this event been able to bring in tens of thousands of registered walkers, but it raised millions of dollars since the event's inception to boot. Events such as this matter, as supported by Stuart Millheiser, since you will be able to raise awareness and connect with others in the process.

With these methods in place, it's easy to see that people can make a difference. Given the fact that ALS can plague so many lives, individual and group efforts alike are understandably noticed by the likes of Stuart Millheiser. Make sure that you know which methods can be carried out, and focus on the ones you believe to be the most doable. When this level of knowledge is obtained, it's that much more likely that you will make a considerable difference.
