It can lead to addictions which bring them more comfort.

Sometimes, it is a matter of trial and error, and one needs to be patient. It is important that the family works together. It especially applies in the case where there are other siblings in the home. It can lead to jealousy and rejection when a single child is given more attention, even in a case where there is a problem like this.
