Info On Alternative Lyme Treatments

By Stephanie Long

Lyme disease is a type of bacterial infection which is spread to human beings through infected ticks. The ticks which carry this disease are found in the UK, parts of Europe and North America. There is however a lot of controversy surrounding this disease as many doctors cannot fully understand it, even those who claim to be experts. In relation to this, the following is an article on alternative Lyme treatments.

There are many ways through which treatment can be sought. To start with, there is a website which claims to have found a new inexpensive way to cure Lyme disease. This is by the use of salt and vitamin C. This can be taken for a number of days as recommended.

Lyme disease is said to have the ability to penetrate different parts of the body as it is not restricted to the bloodstream. To counter this, electro medicine has been seen as the most effective type of treatment. This is due to the fact that it has the capability to penetrate the inner most parts of the body including the cells and brain. Some say that this is the future of Lyme treatment.

There are a majority of people who prefer the use of antibiotics. These are supposed to be taken seventy two hours after the tick had been removed from the body. The type of antibiotic used is largely depended upon the stage of this disease and also what types of symptoms are experienced by the patient.

For the treatment to work effectively, it is important that it be conducted early enough when there is still time for recovery. Late treatment can lead to conditions such as inflammation of the joints, heart problems and also it can affect the brain and nervous system. This can in turn lead to poor concentration, memory loss and nerve damage.

In addition to the above, early detection and treatment makes sure that the complexity of this disease and treatment options are reduced. This is usually a period of one to thirty days after one has been bitten. It prevents the disease from attacking important body organs. There are different for both adults and children and more so depending on the body mechanism as they tend to differ with every patient.

They say that prevention is better than cure. To avoid all the medical expenses associated with treatment, it is important for one to take matters into their own hands where they can prevent this disease. While working in tick prone areas, one should wear long pants. Also, insecticide should be used to reduce the number of ticks in a given area.

To sum up the above, Lyme disease can be very dangerous if not treated while there is still time and hope for recovery. It can change ones life in a negative way if left untreated. One should however go through all the available options in order to come up with the right set of treatment which if effective on their body as their reactions tend to differ.
