Debunking The Myths Surrounding Wholesale E-Cigarettes

By Billy Genthner

Vaping is gaining in popularity and while millions of people are switching from traditional cigarettes to wholesale electronic cigarettes, there are plenty of myths out there surrounding the world of vaping. Read on as we bust a few of the more common myths surrounding wholesale e-cigarettes and wholesale e-liquids.

1. The Great Unknown: The Ingredients Of E-Liquids

One of the perks of vaping is the wide range of E-liquid flavors. You will never get bored sampling the many hundreds of flavors of wholesale E-liquids. Some people enjoy the smoky, tobacco-inspired blends while others opt for candy flavors or even coffee flavors. Many vaping detractors argue that we simply don't know what ingredients are found in a typical wholesale E-liquid, and furthermore, these ingredients probably aren't safe.

The truth is that most wholesale E-liquids contain four ingredients. These ingredients include nicotine, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and either artificial or natural flavors. When it comes to nicotine, you can buy wholesale E-liquids with high levels of nicotine or none at all. This makes it easy to gradually lessen your dependence on nicotine. Propylene glycol is an additive approved by the FDA that is used in e-liquids as well as some foods and pharmaceuticals. Vegetable glycerin is derived from vegetables and also listed as non-toxic by the FDA. Tobacco cigarettes, on the other hand, contain 100s of toxins, many of which cause cancer.

2. Vapor & Second-Hand Smoke Are The Same

As stated before, we know that traditional cigarettes contain 7,000-plus toxins and many of these are released once you light up. Second-hand smoke has been shown to cause cancer as well as exacerbating conditions such as allergies and asthma. Studies regarding wholesale electronic cigarettes have shown that vaping releases about half a dozen toxins, but in amounts so small that they pose little to no risk to the community at large. Testing and studies continue, but evidence points to the fact that the general public has little to fear from the vapor released by electronic cigarettes.

It's also wise to note that cigarettes are responsible for many fires every year. This includes house fires and brush fires. The National Fire Protection Association estimated that in 2011 alone, there were more than 90,000 fires caused by smoking and more than 500 deaths caused by these fires. A wholesale electronic cigarette contains a small battery, but nothing is ever lit and nothing burns. In contrast, from 2009 to 2014, FEMA reported that there have been about 25 incidents of fire attributed to electronic cigarette use, resulting in no deaths and nine injuries. Most of these incidents seemed to be caused when consumers were charging the battery and often the individual was not following the manufacturer's directions when charging.

3. Vaping Companies Deliberately Entice Those Under 18

If you pop into a vape shop, you will see a variety of attractively packaged wholesale E-liquids. The yummy flavors combined with the brightly hued packaging must have been an evil plan concocted by the vaping industry to lure youngsters into trying electronic cigarettes, right? Or, it could just be, that adults also are attracted to colorful, fun packaging and they also enjoy a variety of E-liquid flavors. It is true that the numbers of children and teenagers vaping are on the rise, this is true of all age groups. As vaping becomes more and more popular, it is only logical that use would increase in just about every group.

However, vaping is actually less convenient for the 18 and under set than smoking regular cigarettes. First of all, you have to purchase a starter kit and while they aren't super expensive, it can be cost-prohibitive for a teen. In addition, far more places sell cigarettes and they are simply easier for younger people to buy. In order to vape, you typically have to go to a store that specializes in vaping gear and wholesale e-liquids or purchasing supplies on line, which requires a credit card. This makes it much more difficult for teens and young adults to start vaping. Most vapers, in fact, are either those who currently smoke tobacco products or those who are ex-smokers. Less than one percent of e-cigarette users have never smoked any type of cigarette before trying out electronic cigarettes.
